Socialist running for LA mayor rattled having to talk about homeless crisis, ran so she could talk about bike lanes instead

Socialist councilwoman Nithya Raman doesn't have a problem with homeless encampments being near children. Correction. She doesn't have a problem with homeless encampments being near YOUR children. When people set up encampments outside her house, she didn't think that was fair. She also got her start running a homelessness non-profit, which, like most non-profits, doesn't actually fix anything as much as it raises money (and takes taxpayer dollars) to pretend it's going to.
Nithya was on a podcast, lamenting that her family had to endure what so many other Los Angeles families deal with every day, but her run for mayor was never supposed to be about this. Forget about the homeless problem, or the crime problem, or the drug problem. She had her own agenda.
“I thought this campaign was going to be about bike lanes and transportation.”

Her opponent, Spencer Pratt, didn't feel bad about her having to deal with a homeless problem she's done nothing to solve. He actually thinks it's kinda awesome. Especially after the councilwoman has opposed efforts to clean up encampments, criticized neighbors attempting to clear encampments, and supported policies that have led to more encampments.
It honestly is one of the best things I've seen maybe this year — I hope that happens every single day. I hope people do that to her every day until she realizes — these moms and these parents do not want any people experiencing homelessness — in front of their kids either. So they should be on her block until she cares about other people's blocks. I thought it was the best thing ever. And then she goes on to this little weird tangent where she's like, I thought this mayor's race was just going to be about Bicycle lanes and transportation.

The LA Mayoral Primary is tomorrow. Here's what the streets are saying so far:
City of LA is at 10% turnout as of a few hours ago. In 2022 it was roughly the same at this point in time and ended up around 32%. Luckily this year Reps are up 2% and Dems down, and overall Reps are up 30k registration over that time frame. All to say... EVERYTHING COMES DOWN TO…

Don't let us down, Los Angelinos. We know you have it in you to not vote for the same failed leadership at least once in your lives.
