As we approach the end of 2025, Nicki Minaj going MAGA is not something I had on my Bingo card. I am going to enjoy singing "Starships" with my niece on full blast in the car more. The radio-friendly version, of course. Minaj was the surprise guest at Turning Point's America Fest over the weekend. She's ours now.
Surprisingly, Minaj's surprise appearance caused the least drama from the stage. I don't have much to say about the "influencer fights" that took place, other than to add that conservative podcasters battling each other is a little like running a race in the Special Olympics. Though I'm sure Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and Majorie Traitor Brown are all happy to hear from the vice president that Trump doesn't "[run] his supporters through endless, self-defeating purity tests."
Also, it's not a "proxy war against Vance 2028" to criticize Tucker Carlson et al for saying dumb and/or questionable sh*t. Anyone who claims otherwise is fake and gay.

Back to Nicki, I can understand some on the right being leery of her turn to MAGA. We have a habit of stanning any celebrity who calls us handsome. But this isn't the first time Minaj has spoken out against the left. In 2021, she dared to question the vaccine mandate and found out what happens to celebrities -- particularly if they are female and have a certain degree of melanin -- when they speak out against the progressive worldview.

The seeds had been planted. And when you start to pull on the threat of the left's agenda, when you discover one thing you disagree on, it's easy to see how the rest of it is bullsh*t too.
Nicki Minaj is pro-Trump, pro-JD Vance, and anti-Gavin Newscum. 2028 hasn't even begun yet, and yet it's making 2026 more entertaining.

It will be fascinating to see if this was a one-off or if Nicki Minaj will become more vocal and more active in politics. It will also make things a hell of a lot more entertaining.
