Nancy Pelosi Defends Ilhan Omar's Anti-Semitic Comments by Comparing Her to a Child
Democrats are the party of hate. They're also the party of condescending asshats, as seen here when Nancy Pelosi tries explaining Ilhan Omar's obvious anti-semitism as mere ignorance, essentially comparing Omar to a child. "She just didn't understand." Watch:
"I do not believe she understood the full weight of her words."
Who else suddenly hears "Oooooh, child things are going to get easier" playing in their heads? Just me?
Now, if the Democrats really were against anti-Semitism, they'd scold Ilhan Omar rather than say she was too young and naive to understand that calling Jews hook-nosed was a no-no deserving of a spanking and one week's allowance. If the Democrats really were anti-Semitic, leaders like Pelosi would say "Yep, what she said was wrong. It was hateful and indefensible, we're addressing it now. Ilhan is grounded. No TV passed 7 pm."
But that's not what leaders like Nancy Pelosi are saying. Leaders like Nancy Pelosi are poo-pooing the entire issue, excusing Ilhan Omar by patronizing her lack of understanding.
Ilhan Omar is a 37-year-old woman. She understands exactly what she's doing and exactly what she's saying. If she's too stupid to know when a statement is hateful, why is she in Congress? Rhetorical question. The real problem I have with this is Pelosi assuming the press, her Democrat base, and the rest of us will go along with the condescending line, that somehow Ilhan Omar has the mental complexity and understanding of a glue-sniffing first-grader. When really, Omar's just a hateful witch and the Democrats can't hide her under the jungle gym.
