Minneapolis schools hold a back-to-school supply giveaway... but only if you're Indian

Last time I checked, the government did not have the right to prioritize one race over another. This is why it is bizarre, as well as possibly illegal, that one school district in Minneapolis will be holding a school supply giveaway -- but only if you are American Indian.

A Minnesota school district has come under fire for providing a school supply giveaway only for Native American students. A civil rights complaint has been filed, alleging discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin.
This is the problem with equity. In the progressive pursuit to ensure everyone has equal outcomes, they end up excluding the majority of people, despite pretending to be so inclusive. Subsequently, the left could not be more "exclusive" if they tried.
Facebook posts from the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) American Indian Education Department have promoted the August 24th and 25th event, in which the “2026-27 School Year Distribution of Backpacks & School Supplies” will take place. The event is listed as being for “MPS American Indian Students ONLY.” The American Indian Education Department is led by Director Jennifer Simon.
While I am no legal expert, I would tend to agree this is not what you would call “legal.”
The civil rights complaint, filed with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), states, “In violation of Title VI, the MPS Event illegally excludes certain students based on their race and ethnicity, including students who are Asian, Black, White, and Hispanic,” per Alpha News.
LOL. Isn't it comical how the left pretends to be all in for “people of color,” whatever that even means, yet ends up being so incredibly woke that they end up excluding Black, Hispanics, Asians, and Whites in their little school supply giveaway. How pathetic.
Here is a thought: Why not extend the giveaway to all students, regardless of the color of their skin? However, considering that the left is not what you would call “moral,” it is doubtful they will be doing that anytime soon. What a disgrace.
