When I first took an active interest in politics in 2008, the first person I took an interest in was the Florida Speaker of the House. A Cuban guy, only a little older than me, whom I had seen on the internets. He was the main reason I went to the CPAC in 2009. So, as a point of personal privilege, it has been a delight to see Marco Rubio have a chance to shine in the Trump Administration.

Today's Senate hearing versus Sen. Chris Van Hollen, back from being overseas and sharing daiquiris with illegal immigrant gang members, is a prime example of why. Seriously. Go get yourself a Diet Dr. Pepper from the fridge and enjoy the next 4:12 minutes. It starts with Van Hollen saying he regrets voting for Rubio as Secretary of State. It ends with Rubio going beast mode on USAID cuts and his desire to deport even more anti-American illegals.

Rubio's point about the deportation of college students here on visas, who then terrorize other students as they brag about wanting to destroy America, is one he had made back in March to the pro-illegal immigration simps in the media.

If you tell us, when you apply [for your green card', "Hi, I’m trying to get into the United States on a student visa, I am a big supporter of Hamas, a murderous, barbaric group that kidnaps children, that rapes teenage girls, that takes hostages, that allows them to die in captivity, that returns more bodies than live hostages ... ‘I intend to come to your country as a student and rile up all kinds of anti-Jewish student, antisemitic activities, I intend to shut down your universities..."

If you told us all these things when you applied for a visa, we would deny your visa. “I hope we would. If you actually end up doing that, once you’re in this country on such a visa, we will revoke it.

I hear people say Rubio has been a "surprise" as Trump's SOS, but the truth is, Rubio has always been this good. The rub is that he was a Trump opponent for a few months in 2016 and occasionally expressed views that opposed whatever the MAGA Influencer Complex was pushing that week, so he got hit with labels like "neocon" and "globalist."

But as far as having the ability to communicate what we believe, why we believe it, and battle both a Democrat Party and the corporate media (but I repeat myself) over it, few are better. One of the few is JD Vance. That might explain why it feels like Trump's deemed a Vance/Rubio ticket as his natural successor.
