NEW: Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro starts singing 1988 hit song 'Don't Worry Be Happy' at a rally as the U.S. seized an oil tanker off Venezuela's coast.
"To American citizens who are against the war, I respond ... Don't worry, be happy," he said in Spanish before singing.

Wow, this will really teach a thing or two to the Trump Administration.
On Wednesday, the U.S. seized a sanctioned oil tanker off Venezuela's coast, and Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro decided the best response to this "act of international piracy” was to sing the song “Don't Worry Be Happy.”
How happy do you think those people really were standing behind Maduro? Something tells me they choose to stand and behave like that not because they were “happy,” but I digress.
Reports indicate that five million people in the country face hunger. Unsure if we should call this a “happy” existence, but according to the president, the people should not worry.
According to Fox News:
"The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly denounces and repudiates what constitutes blatant theft and an act of international piracy, publicly announced by the president of the United States, who confessed to the assault of an oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea," the government said in an official communiqué.
Not like they would do anything with it that would actually benefit their people anyway. But don't worry, be happy, Venezuelans.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said a joint operation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations and the United States Coast Guard, with support from the Department of War, executed a seizure warrant for a crude oil tanker that was allegedly being used to transport sanctioned oil from Venezuela and Iran.
"For multiple years, the oil tanker has been sanctioned by the United States due to its involvement in an illicit oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations," she said on X. "This seizure, completed off the coast of Venezuela, was conducted safely and securely—and our investigation alongside the Department of Homeland Security to prevent the transport of sanctioned oil continues."
Call me crazy, but if I lived under his regime, I would, in fact, be worried.
According to the DOJ, this tanker has been used to benefit foreign terrorist organizations, and that is a slap in the face to all Venezuelans.
Maduro can’t stop and won't stop signing. This is how he responds when the going gets tough.

LOL. Maybe he should stick to what he does best: Authoritative rule over the people of Venezuela while calling the election for himself that he did not deserve. For a country that has a lot of problems to deal with, he certainly finds a lot of time to sing. Why do you think that is?
Anyway, as Nicolás Maduro would say, don't worry, be happy. Okay?
