The Democratic Socialists of America’s LA chapter thinks it knows how to run things better than the people. They believe that, despite history proving otherwise, the government taking control of your property, our nation's grocery stores, and replacing officers with unarmed social workers will make this country better off. It’s unclear how people can be this stupid, but it has no place in America.

According to the New York Post:

The Democratic Socialists of America’s LA chapter wants to straight-up seize private property through a “creative use of eminent domain,” take control of your neighborhood grocery store, and replace cops with unarmed social workers while shutting down jails.

Why do Socialists always fight for policies that give “rights” to criminals while jeopardizing the safety of innocent Americans? Why do they believe they have a right to other people's private property? What will they even do with that property? Why do they believe they are so entitled to it when they have not worked a bit for it? This level of entitlement has got to be a mental derangement at this point, because only people so delusional would believe otherwise.

Their Communist fever dream wishlist includes banning Airbnbs, grabbing golf courses for public housing, allowing noncitizen immigrants to vote in local elections, enforcing a school curriculum that supports social justice, and eliminating all fossil fuel use by 2035.

Why can't they just move to an African village or something? Nothing is stopping them from moving to these places, and it would be a lot less work on their part.

If they ban Airbnb, they embolden the corporate hotel industry. If they ban golf courses, there are still no funds to build this public housing. If they have noncitizens vote in elections, why even have a country? They do realize that illegals come here because they are running away from disastrous leadership, right? Why turn this into the place so many ran away from? None of these questions can be answered by these people, but that's because these polices are not grounded in reason or morality. It's grounded in an attempted power grab that the American people would never get behind.

The 3,500 member group has already helped elect several candidates to local office, and previously backed Nithya Raman, a DSA-member now running for mayor. They openly trash the Democratic Party establishment as capitalist sellouts and want to build “working class power” through what they call a “socialist mass organization.”

The manifesto, published in 2025 is more than 9,000-words long and gives an insight into the policies that a potential Mayor Raman has signed up to as a DSA member and could try to implement in LA. It targets the “status quo coalition” of elected officials, real estate developers, billionaires, nonprofits, and even some union leaders who’ve supposedly sold out workers.

“We are on the burning edge of the economic, climate, and moral crises that define this generation,” the manifesto warns, adding ominously: “The choice remains socialism or barbarism.”

If the choice is so black and white, why is the status quo currently not barbaric? Most people can agree this country has a lot of things to work on, but to claim socialism is the antidote to barbarism largely misses the mark. In fact, every country that has taken this approach has destroyed itself, and a large chunk of its population with it. Only the left can take the greatest country in the world and give you something not even the third world is exposed to.

Los Angeles is already one of the most progressive and socialist cities in this country. These policies have created some of the most inflated prices in the nation. You need to be either extremely wealthy or dirt poor to live in the city. Either you can't afford it, or the taxpayer is affording it for you. There is hardly an in-between. This is because of similar policies this group supports, and the fact that they are blind to it screams volumes as to how ignorant they truly are.

The real scandal here is not that these people support the most asinine policies in existence, but that they get to vote. There is nothing more concerning than that.
