The problem with firing people because of the color of their skin is not just that it’s reprehensible and morally wrong, but it’s also not what you would call “legal.” This is why musician James Zimmermann is suing the Knoxville Symphony; he was allegedly fired because of the color of his skin, while they hired someone less qualified because they had a more desirable skin color by leftist standards.
According to the Inquisitr:
In a video released Monday, January 5, Zimmermann said he unanimously won a blind audition with the Knoxville Symphony last year. He said Knoxville Symphony CEO Rachel Ford called him two days later and told him the orchestra had refused to hire him. Zimmermann shared a screenshot of a follow-up email in which Ford cited “a number of items which have come to the attention … regarding your employment with the Nashville Symphony.” Zimmermann alleges the orchestra instead hired his runner-up, whom he described as a “DEI hire” who is still in college.
I do not doubt that this is true. Do you?

Zimmermann said he is suing the Knoxville Symphony for a year’s salary, which he listed at more than $47,000, as well as an additional $25,000 in compensation “for the 100 hours that I spent practicing” for the audition.
“But more than anything, I’m suing because these orchestras can’t keep throwing out their best players to make room for diversity hires and putting race and politics above merit and skill,” Zimmermann said.
Remember the good old days when people were judged based on their competence and not the color of their skin? Can we please go back to that? Or is that too much to ask for the leftist mob? Because back in my day, this was not only racist, but it was, in fact, wrong. Giving people a leg up over another person because one has a skin color you like and the other has one you don't is not only evil, but it has no place in this great nation. The sooner the Knoxville Symphony realizes that, the fewer lawsuits it will get. Until then, don't expect anything but them to out-woke themselves and provide more of the same. But what else is new?
