Kavanaugh Swing Vote: Senator Bob Corker is a Yes
There are four senators who are looked at as the "swing voters" for Brett Kavanaugh's nomination. One of them, Tennessee Senator Bob Corker, is a yes.
I plan to vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh. My full statement: https://t.co/LDj4epYyhc— Senator Bob Corker (@Senator Bob Corker)1538095743.0
I know it took courage for Dr. Ford to appear before the committee today. I also strongly believe that Judge Kavanaugh, like all Americans, deserves the presumption of innocence and that it was equally important for him to have the opportunity to address the charges and defend himself.
I believe Kavanaugh has conducted himself as well as anyone could expect throughout this process and plan to vote to confirm him.
Corker is retiring and has publicly opposed Trump in the past. The senator also called for a delayed vote until we got to hear from Kavanaugh's accuser.
Now that we have, he's a yes. Now that we've heard Dr. Ford, and her story which is still inconsistent and shaky, Corker is a yes. How many others, after Dr. Ford spoke and Kavanaugh followed, will take the same stand?
Looking at you, Senators Flake and Collins. The ball, as they say, is waiting for you to kick the Democrats in the face.
