If this were any other state (except for maybe New York), Katie Porter's performance here would be detrimental to her gubernatorial aspirations. But because it's California where Democrats could murder your mother in front of you and still get elected just so long as they aren't Republican, she may have picked up 5% on the polls.

She's running in the Democrat primary to succeed Gavin Newscum as California governor. Newscum is attempting to subvert democracy with a scam to gerrymander California's congressional districts even more gerrymandered than they already are, leaving 40+% of Republican Californians with only 9% of the congressional seats.

A question asked of all the candidates is if they agree with Newscum's scheme, and if they care about the 40% of the state they are running to represent. Porter had her talking point prepared, but when the reporter followed up, she had her meltdown.

Ask the question as you have it written, and I'll answer it.

I don't want to keep doing this. Not with seven follow-ups to every question you ask.

I don't want to have an unhappy experience with you, and I don't want this all on camera.

The funny part was when the reporter asked, "You've never had to have a conversation with a reporter?" because the answer is obviously no. Porter is a Congresswoman, so she has had conversations with fans and allies who work in the media and let her spew whatever she wants without challenging her. But be forced to answer actual questions from a reporter? What does she look like? A Republican?

Katie Porter is shrill, unpleasant, and obnoxious. It should come as no surprise she is a Democrat frontrunner.
