I think we all know how this is going to end. Too many on the right will have fun with Jennifer Lopez, not realizing she makes an amazing argument opposing mass migration. She'll get called out in a print interview. Variety will create content via X-post. She'll be forced to make a TikTok with The Zohran, who she just said doesn't belong here.

But that's in a week or so. For now, let's enjoy this clip from Subway Takes of J-Lo making a BASED case for controlling the border, limiting H-1 B visas, and making common-sense immigration reform common sense for American citizens.

Everyone wants to claim our city, but you have to be born in New York.

If they're just off the boat, sure. But what if they've been here for many generations? Like, they've been here for fifty years and are like ninety or something?

I have to say no. You live in New York, you take on characteristics of New York probably by that time. You have a New York sensibility. When you're born in New York is when you're really a New Yorker.

She makes an excellent point: if she would just let it play out a little further...

We're saying the same things. We're just saying it about all of America. J-Lo is only saying it for five counties in America. Or, more like four since I'm sure she doesn't claim Staten Island.

And before anyone gets smug and douchey about it, no, this is not a newfound respect for Lopez, nor is it anyone claiming she is on our side. We know *waves hand* all of the silly leftist things she's said in her lifetime. We're just having fun with content.

Not unlike how we're sure the White House will have fun with it. Maybe even announce the J-Lo standard for immigration.
