EQUALITY: Italy Proposes Paid Menstrual Leave For Women. Every Month...

Team Crowder
March 27, 2017

Italians have bestowed unto the world many stupendous things. Like pizza, The Godfather, and of course the beloved Mario brothers. For those things the rest of us are eternally grateful. Still, unfortunately, our spaghetti-making allies don't always get things right. When it comes to the topic of lady workers and their time of the month, our Italian amici are on the verge of saying arrivederci to common sense and bongiorno to stupidity...

Italy could soon become the first Western country to offer paid “menstrual leave” to female workers.

The proposed law is currently being debated in the country’s parliament. If passed, it would mandate that companies enforce a “menstrual leave” policy and offer three paid days off each month to working women who experience painful periods.

Health experts and local media outlets have praised the proposal, saying it was a step in the right direction and would shed light on the silent plight of women suffering from debilitating cramps that can sometimes affect their ability to work.

The Italian version of Marie Claire described it as “a standard-bearer of progress and social sustainability.”

In other words, these leftists want a month's paid vacation per year for every woman. Yet somehow it's still a mystery to some women why they make less cheddar than the fellas. Wonder no more.

Lets put our thinking caps on for a moment. I know, I know, the brain is a muscle cobwebbed and collecting dust for many a feminism-peddling leftist. Bear with me. This law helps nobody - not even the ladyfolk. Because for employers, it makes more sense to hire the person who's NOT going to be on leave for a week each month... Since this law would allow for much money wastage and lower productivity.

But then again, maybe the relief from certain PMSing she-beasts would be worth it.

A popular notion is that girls are as - if not more - capable as the boys. Just not when it comes to pull ups (see Equality? Pull Ups OPTIONAL For (Wimpy) Female Marines). Hence why businesses shouldn't be forced to make special arrangements for the lasses. You know, equality. But at the heart of the issue? What the bill supporters are really saying is men and women are different. Which, say, would make modern feminism a steaming pile of wrong...

By the way, you would think those strong, independent women would be tough enough to power through the inconvenience of the menses. Apparently tis not so for these wimpy feminists.

Speaking of which, why is it only women who get paid leave? Men get periods too, you know...
