In an unhinged move, Illinois State Senator Karina Villa and one of her aides allegedly told undocumented immigrants to stay indoors while confronting ICE officers. While it’s amusing that she seemed to believe she had any authority over the situation, she should remember that her role is to prioritize the interests of Americans and legal residents—not those of foreign nationals.

Who exactly was she yelling at? People watching seemed genuinely confused as a clearly unhinged Karen stormed down the street, shouting for everyone to keep their doors closed. To passing drivers, it was impossible to tell whether she meant their car doors or someone else’s house—but in reality, no one appeared to be around at all. It’s also pretty comical that she had her assistant record the scene, as if capturing this moment didn’t make her look completely ridiculous.

According to NBC 5:

Illinois Sen. Karina Villa is seen in the video telling residents to "stay in your houses" as she walks down a street in the West Chicago suburb.

"Don't open your doors if there's not a warrant," she can be heard shouting.

The video then shows a vehicle with what appear to be masked agents.

"This is my city, that's rights," Villa shouts at the group. "Take off your masks."

It’s not “her city”; it belongs to the people—and certainly not to those who have broken federal immigration laws.

As the vehicle pulls away, Villa tells people in both English and Spanish to "stay inside your houses, do not come out."

She does realize that this isn’t her job, right? She has no authority over deportation matters, and it’s honestly pathetic that she went to such lengths just for clicks. In reality, she would have done herself far more favors by simply going about her day. She doesn’t look “brave” or heroic, as some on the left might claim—she comes across as an unhinged, naive Karen who thinks shouting about things she doesn’t understand will help her cause, which is already incredibly weak.

It’s also frustrating to see the lengths these left-leaning politicians will go to defend illegal immigrants. Don’t you wish they spent that energy fighting for you instead of prioritizing criminal aliens? Time and again, the left has shown where their loyalties lie—and it’s certainly not with the people they swore to represent.
