Hugh Jackman seems to be a likable enough guy. That might be bias on my part, seeing as I'm a fan of his cigar-chomping, adamantium-plated Marvel alter-ego. Though, his words about his friendship with Ivanka and Jared Kushner make it seem all the more more likely he's just a stand-up bloke.

Though Jackman had less to say about the upcoming elections than his American castmates, he made it clear that his friendship with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner is not a reflection of his values. Jackman’s recent birthday party made headlines because Trump and Kushner were among the guests. “I’ve known those guys for 15 years,” he said, “and we don’t talk politics at birthday parties.”

Asked whether he did have a political message to share, Jackman’s answer was simple: “Vote! I’m an Ozzie, so I don’t get to vote, but if you can, you should vote.”

Well, it's refreshing to see Hugh's attitude toward lefties who'd rather he shun anyone with an "R" after their name. His message to those partisan douchenozzles couldn't be more clear.

It's kind of odd how something like this is worthy of news coverage. I guess the lefties expect Hugh to break out the claws and go berserker mode on Ivanka and Jared. It would appear being friends with people who happen to have different political views is now a no-bueno in lefty-land.

It's good to know there are still some professional players of pretend in Tinseltown who have a little bit of sense. I'm pretty sure Logan Mr. Jackman lines up on the left of center. At least he's still willing to coexist and even share some B-day cake with his political opposites.

That's a lot more than you can say for most of his douchetastic Hollywood peers:
