It is nothing new that the ladies on The View make asinine claims in a pathetic attempt to defend their deranged ideology. It typically happens every time they have a show. And today, the award for most idiotic take goes to Sunny Hostin, who tried to claim that climate change was to blame for both the eclipse and the earthquake that recently happened in New York.

She first tried to mock Christians because bigotry is only okay when it is directed at Conservatives. And then in the same breath, claimed that the earthquake, eclipse, plus the return of the cicadas is obviously proof of global warming. But you have to be severely incompetent to think any of that is true.

Per the transcript from News Busters:

HOSTIN: All those things together, would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists, or something is really going on.

BEHAR: Except earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change. It's underground. It can’t.
HOSTIN: How about the warming of the planet?

GOLDBERG: No, it happens. And the eclipse, they've known about the eclipse coming because eclipses happen and they actually can say when these things are going to happen.

So, all these folks who are saying, “You know, it's a sign from God,” God doesn't give you warning. Okay? You think he gave people at the Tower of Babble warning? “Oh, I'm about to jack y'all up.” No. God does stuff and then you figure, “Oh, that's probably because I just – uh” [pretends to die]. You know?

I mean – It's -- No, but the cicadas come -- we have them every 17 years. There are some we get every 20-some-odd years and they just go under and they come back up.

You know your take is bad when Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg refuse to go along with it.

But the funny thing is that her logic is not any different from all the other climate prophecies that never come to fruition. More often than not, these people take common occurrences like rain or seasonal weather change and try and use it as justification for their climate alarmism. But just like April showers bring May flowers, when it rains it pours. And that is about how logical these people are.

You have to be extremely dumb to make Goldberg look reasonable. But here we are, as we have all just found out that Hostin is dumber than any of us thought.

For a brief moment, Hostin really thought that the eclipse would have never happened if it were not for climate change. And you cannot make that level of stupidity up.
