The State of California has a lot of problems, and it’s unclear how any of them would be fixed if they pay for Kamala Harris’s security detail for her national book tour.

Some of the major problems residents face are extremely high housing costs and cost of living, homelessness, and crime. It’s hard to tell how any of that would be fixed if Kamala says a thing or two about her pathetic little book. You can't even name one thing that woman has done to make the state better off, yet she's benefiting from the people, despite them never having benefited from her.

Call me crazy, but for a deal to be mutually beneficial, both sides should benefit from it. The only one benefiting from this is Kamala. Weird.

According to the New York Post:

California taxpayers have been footing the bill for Kamala Harris’ security team as she tours the nation promoting her book.

Since September, dozens of California Highway Patrol officers have been by the former vice president’s and the will continue to shadow her throughout her tour, KCRA reported.

State officials have remained tight-lipped about the number of officers assigned to Harris and the total amount of taxpayer dollars spent on her security.

Vice Presidents typically get six months of security service protection after leaving office. Additionally, “Secret Service threat intelligence assessment found no credible evidence of a threat to Harris,” according to the Post. So, why is the state footing the bill for her personal expenses? If there is no credible threat, then this would seem like a waste of money, wouldn't it?

A book tour is a private activity that benefits no one but her personal pocket. She is also a private citizen.

Last year, LAPD removed officers from her security detail because they believed residents would be better off with officers fighting crime rather than babysitting a “multi-millionaire failed presidential candidate.”

"Every now and then common-sense prevails and we are happy to report that the Metro officers assigned to protect the multi-millionaire failed presidential candidate are back on the street fighting crime," the union said in a statement provided to City News Service. "Maybe Ms. Harris can start a GoFundMe campaign instead of mooching off Los Angeles taxpayers."

As the Union said, Harris should go “start a GoFundMe campaign instead of mooching off taxpayers." And considering this woman continues to profit off her failed political history, even though it was her tie-breaking votes that forever made the American people worse off, it is fair to conclude she does not deserve a dime from taxpayers.

It truly is astonishing if you think about it. Her tie-breaking votes in the Senate create record inflation. She did nothing but make people worse off, while they were already struggling to make ends meet. Now, she continues to benefit from the dime of those people, while doing nothing but filling her pocket. Insanity — pure insanity.

The fact that none of this is surprising makes it all the more pathetic.
