Gym bros, y'all need to calm down a little bit. I'm sure there's a way to get your daily protein needs without turning to dog food. Like, 100% sure. This dude definitely seems like he is trolling for views, but he also actually ate dog food. And cat food. For the gains, bro.

The whole debacle began when he saw that MyFitnessPal claims Pedigree dog food has 666 grams of protein per serving. Which is obviously an error (and a Satanic one at that). But he still went to the store, bought dog food, and filmed himself eating it.

He promptly spit it out and said it's "not worth it," explaining, "Tasted like little pieces of dirt and I definitely don’t think it was worth it. Even though it’s a lot of protein, I’d take steak or protein powder." Uh, yeah. Like every other gym bro out there.

But this didn't stop him from eating wet cat food. If you've ever had a cat and given them the gelatinous tuna mixture for dinner, you'll understand just how mortifying this is. I nearly gagged just watching him.

Not only is eating canine food nasty, but apparently, it could just be bad for you. Who woulda thought? Melissa Majumdar, a spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, told BuzzFeed that dog food does not fall under the same rules and regulations as human food. Since it's for dogs. It can include animal byproducts like udders and lungs that are not considered safe for people to eat. Veterinarian Tracy Navarra also said, "Dogs’ intestines are equipped to deal with pathogens, bacteria, dirt, virus, litter, parasites, etc., that the human gut is not accustomed to. We are not the same, so we should not eat the same."

So to all the Gym Bros out there, maybe just have a steak and a glass of milk. Maybe don't go for the wet cat food. Just a thought.
