You knew when they announced a Ghostbusters sequel, we were going to be fighting over it (see Feminist Ghostbusters a Mega-Flop. Pro-Woman Suicide Squad A Hit! Here’s Why… and Original Ghostbusters Director: No, It’s Not Sexist to Hate the Remake…). Look, I loved the original movie as a kid. The real talk is that most 80's movies don't hold up. Goonies, Karate Kid, The Outsiders... and maybe a few others held up. Ghostbusters is one of the movies that didn't. So fighting over it seems silly. But hey, we're the Internet!

The planned sequel is for the original Ghostbusters. Not the recent remake that woke leftist douche-o-plasms pretended didn't suck. The upcoming sequel is directed by the original director's son, Jason Reitman. Who recently appeared on the Bill Burr podcast. Here's the clickbait:

We went back to the work files for the sound of the proton pack. And we went back to the stems of Elmer Berstein’s score. Just for where it says, in the teaser, ‘Sumer 2020,’ we went back and found the original physical vinyl letters they used to create the ‘Ghostbusters’ poster in 1984. Rescanned them and then our titles guys reprinted them. We filmed the titles. Not like in a computer. We shot physical titles with a light and smoke effect because that’s how they would have done it back in the day.

We are, in every way, trying to go back to the original technique and hand the movie back to the fans.

Context, schmontext. Because the rules of engagement leftists put in place clearly state anytime three idiots have the same stupid opinion, you can use it to bash the other side.

I had no plans to see the new movie, mainly because there is no way it's not going to suck. Dan Akroyd is in it. Harold Ramis isn't, what with him dying and all. And you know Bill Murray is just doing it because he's Bill Murray and Bill Murray likes to do Bill Murray things. But if it's anything like Alicia describes, it sounds AWESOME!

The above were most of the complaints about Reitman's out of context joke. The same line of stupid from the same whining leftists cried when people didn't like the 2016 movie. Which, by all measurable standards, was like a dry heave set to music. Name that sitcom.

Seriously, it's been three years. The left needs to move onto something a little more worthwhile for their rage. Maybe someone who faked a hate crime? Just a suggestion.
