Dem Rep. Says Wants To Defund DHS Because He Believes Breaking Immigration Laws Is Not A Crime

The Trump Administration has made it abundantly clear that ICE will be doing targeted enforcement. This means that priority is given to those accused of some of the worst crimes. While this should be the first step to clean up the mess the left created, these are not the only people worthy of deportation. In fact, many would argue that anyone who has broken federal immigration laws has taken advantage of the American immigration system and should be deported back to their home countries. While you are free to disagree, this should be the farthest thing from controversy. However, only in America do its citizens actively campaign against national security. Why do you think that is?
New York Democrat Rep. Adriano Espaillat is one of those people.
New York Democrat Rep. Adriano Espaillat says illegally crossing the border is not a crime and wants to defund DHS and ICE:

According to Espaillat, people who have broken federal immigration laws have not broken the law. The reason he said this is not because he is factually correct but because he lives in progressive la la land where no one is illegal on stolen land. Nonetheless, because of his delusion, he believes that is justification to defund DHS, especially ICE.
In case it was not clear to Espaillat, he was, in fact, elected to represent the American people. Nowhere does the law imply that he ought to campaign for the interest of foreign nationals. So, one can only question: Why is he fighting so hard to grant people who have broken our laws special privileges, while actively undermining national sovereignty and security, at the expense of the voters who elected him? That remains unclear, but we can be certain he has no intent of ever representing the American people, and the fact that he can hold office while actively campaigning against the interests of this country is a total scandal.
Maybe one day Espaillat will represent voters the way he does foreign nationals who have broken federal immigration laws, but as of writing this, that remains very, very unlikely. But what else is new?
