Going into the final months of the 2024 Presidential election, the economy was the top issue among Americans. This time last year, over 40% of Americans believed that was the case. In Oct. 2025, that could not be further from this truth. This likely has something to do with the fact that we no longer have a root vegetable in the White House, but you can do the math.

According to Harry Enten, CNN’s data analyst, “Just 24% say America's top problem is economic per Gallup vs. 43% in Oct. 2024,” adding that “24% is also well below the historical midterm average (35%).” And if you are so surprised by this, you are not paying attention.

This is odd because, according to the left, we were headed into economic calamity, and Americans are struggling like never before.

What is even more odd is that I don't ever recall Newsom having a problem with Americans suffering under some of the worst inflation we have seen in recent years. If I did not know any better, I might say people like him don't actually care about Americans making ends meet, but I do know better, so I certainly will not be saying that.

The left can try and gaslight Americans all they want, just like when they pretended inflation was a myth under the Biden Administration, but they are not fooling anyone. Money speaks louder than words, and the sooner they realize, the better off everyone will be.
