Donald Trump Makes Closing Midterm Argument, Says "We Can't Go Back."
Donald Trump has released his closing argument for the 2018 midterm elections. The message is simple: We can't go back.
Of course, the president stepped on his positive message this morning with another "the press is fake news" tweet. Seriously dude, we've got eight days to go. Next time you have a zinger, have KellyAnne jot it down for you. Stick it in your desk drawer next to the stress ball which is bigger than Kim Jong's. Save it for after the election. THEN you can tweet the s*** out of it. Oh, the libs you would own!
As for Election Day itself, polls are tightening (see CBS Pollster Casts Doubt on Democratic ‘Blue Wave’ in Midterm Elections and Multiple Pollsters: Yeah, About the Blue Wave Democrats Were Hoping For…). The blue wave has said, "new phone, who dis?" Nationally, Democrats still have the advantage. But when you look at the battleground districts, it's been neck and neck. Which is not to say it can't change between now and next Tuesday. Eight days is a lifetime in American politics. Hence the concern about Trump's morning executive time applying totally normal-size finger tips to phone buttons.
The bottom line is: stay focused. Act as if we're two points away from losing both the House AND Senate. Vote accordingly.
