I understand people feeling blackpilled. Especially after Democrats just redistricted Virginia, while the GOP spent zero dollars to fight back, are while they also refuse to fight to pass the SAVE Act. It makes you wonder what the point is of even having a national GOP. I get it. But we also have to remember just how bad things were under the People Who Controlled Joe Biden Administration, and how much worse they can get. Case in point, notice how, now under Donald Trump, not a single illegal is crossing the border in Eagle Pass, Texas.

That was always going to be an ongoing process and would never be complete in one year. Let's all be serious. And, despite all the roadblocks Democrats and RINOs have thrown at him, Trump effectively shutting down the border is no small feat.

Eagle Pass was a flashpoint for the battle between Texas and Joe Biden, who created such a crisis at the border that the then-President of Mexico referred to Joe as the "Migrant President."

Here's the Eagle Pass fire chief in 2022.

The Texas National Guard would put up barbed wire. The Biden Border Patrol would cut the wire. Illegals were somehow new to walking along the border until they saw one of Biden's Border Patrol agents, because they knew they would be allowed in.

It got to the point where Texas seized control of the border because the state was being invaded, and then told the Supreme Court to suck it when the court told Texas they weren't allowed to do that. This was January 2024.

Trump got elected in November 2024. Now, in April 2026, the border is shut down, and shutdown WITHOUT Congress having to pass any "comprehensive" legislation. Trump just enforced the laws that were already on the books, and stopped ignoring them as the People Who Controlled Joe Biden did.

It worked. Go figure.

The border is closed. Illegals are being deported, albeit slowly. More are self-deporting. Before you let yourself get too blackpilled into thinking of sitting out November for whatever silly reason you read on X, just remind yourself how easy it will be for the left to undo everything Trump has managed to do so far. And how much further they'll go if we let them.
