The president of COP28, Sultan Al Jaber, has enraged the left because he said there is "no science" behind demands for a "phase out" of fossil fuels, which he is correct.

According to The Guardian, there was outrage and frustration at COP28 and after the fact, when the man running the summit said there is "no science" behind demands for a "phase out" of fossil fuels. He also this phase-out would not allow sustainable development “unless you want to take the world back into caves”.

Fossil fuels enable human flourishing. But "experts" refuse to admit that.

Al Jaber made the remarks during a virtual exchange on Nov. 21 with Mary Robinson, who is the chair of the Elders group and a former UN special envoy.

“I accepted to come to this meeting to have a sober and mature conversation. I’m not in any way signing up to any discussion that is alarmist. There is no science out there, or no scenario out there, that says that the phase-out of fossil fuel is what’s going to achieve 1.5C,” Al Jaber told Robinson, referencing the 1.5 degrees Celsius threshold.

I have yet to see any evidence as to the fact that this will benefit humanity. Because of how it currently stands, it seems that a total phase-out would work to destroy humanity. But maybe we should ask a political scientist to learn more about that one.

“Please help me, show me the roadmap for a phase-out of fossil fuel that will allow for sustainable socioeconomic development, unless you want to take the world back into caves,” he added.

These comments made other UN officials not too happy.

Al Jaber runs the Emirati state-owned renewable firm and the state-owned oil and gas giant. Which of course means the left automatically discredits anything that comes out of his mouth. But if we are going to discredit hypocrites, then we should not believe anything anyone at the summit says because they don't even act to prevent their doomsday predictions.

Any benefits from fossil fuels far outweigh any perceived risks. Do not believe the false promise that we can replace fossil fuel production with unreliable alternatives. At the very least, this will enable global misery and even death.

There is a reason we have never seen an economy or nation survive on solar and wind. It is unreliable and insufficient. And on top of that, it relies on fossil fuels to run in the background because it is that awful.
