Since November, there's been an uptick in interest for immigrating to Canada. Heaps of whiny, liberal Americans promptly flooded through the gates. Only to be denied (see LOL! Sore Loser Leftists Try Moving to Canada. Get Rejected for Being Dead Beats...). A discovery deserving of chuckles. But bed-wetting liberals aren't the only ones getting booted. Now that ICE is actually doing ICE things, Mexicans are skipping America and heading straight up north to the tolerant Canadian border of friendly people and maple syrup surpluses.

Enter delicious irony:

As Trump seeks to crack down on undocumented immigrants in the United States, about half of whom are Mexican, there are some nascent signs that more Mexican migrants see a future in Canada, which in December eased travel for visitors from Mexico.

Canadian government data shows a tripling of Mexicans seeking to travel to Canada in the three months since the visa requirement was shelved. [But] more Mexican nationals were turned back from the Canadian border in January 2017 than the total number rejected each year in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Truckloads of Mexicans didn't make the cut. Interesting.

So friendly "We love everybody" socialist Canada has a border policy in place after all. Good for them, eh? Nobody's saying Canada should be forced into open border policies and let anyone in. Leftists, not conservatives, are the ones who want to nix borders for the sake of the feels. More specifically, leftist utopias like Canada (read Dear Increasingly Liberal Canada: You Make Me Ashamed to be Canadian). See, Canadians like Justin Trudeau lob attacks at Trump and conservatives for seeking secure borders, while lecturing 300 Senor y Senora Pablo's of their own that no no, mi casa es no su casa.

The hypocrisy is astounding, but not surprising.

So how about we all keep our own borders secure, and everyone just stays where they are until legally permitted to leave their country for another? Gosh, kinda sounds like legal immigration to me. What a freaking concept.
