“Chicken from a 3-D Printer”: Campbell’s VP in hot water after admitting company uses "bioengineered" meat only poor people buy

🚨BREAKING: Campbell Soup’s VP and Chief Information Security Officer, Martin Bally, was secretly recorded saying the company uses bioengineered meat, their products aren’t healthy, and that it’s mostly poor people who buy them.

Well, this is not a good look.
Martin Bally, the Vice President of “soup giant” Campbell’s, has shown that the company could not care less that their food is of such low quality it shouldn’t even be labeled as dog food — apparently, that’s a “poor people problem.” However, those comments have now become a company-wide issue, because apparently, you can’t have your soup and eat it too.
Robert Garza, a former analyst, is suing Campbell Soup, claiming he was retaliated against after calling out a senior executive for unacceptable behavior. Garza alleges that Vice President Martin Bally made reprehensible comments about Campbell’s food products, its “poor” customers, and Indian staff.
According to Click On Detroit:
In the lawsuit, Garza alleges Bally said Campbell’s makes “highly processed food” for “poor people” and made several derogatory comments about Indian employees, calling them “idiots.”
“We have s--t for f**king poor people. Who buys our s--t? I don’t buy Campbell’s products barely anymore. It’s not healthy now that I know what the f---‘s in it,” part of the recording said. “Bioengineered meat -- I don’t wanna eat a piece of chicken that came from a 3-D printer.”
Well, I too would not want to eat “a piece of chicken that came from a 3-D printer.” I mean, I had my suspicions, and if this were true, it would be extremely unsurprising.
The recording lasted longer than an hour and 15 minutes and included what Garza said was a “disgusting” rant about his coworkers.
“F---ing Indians don’t know a f---ing thing,” the recording said. “Like they couldn’t think for their f---ing selves,” it said in part.
Again, not a good look. I’m more upset about the “poor people” comments, but both are reprehensible, nonetheless. And this is precisely why we must stay away from processed foods. While it may be convenient, you could be supporting a company that not only despises those less fortunate but also employs racists. I don’t know — that’s just my two cents. All I know is there are plenty of other brands out there that don’t use 3-D printed meat and don’t hate their customers. That’s just my two cents. Will you be using Campbell’s this Thanksgiving?
