One might assume that blatantly assaulting someone in broad daylight, with video evidence, would be enough for a district attorney to file felony charges against the suspect. However, that is not how things work when Alvin Bragg is in charge—at least when it comes to assaulting a pro-life activist.
I can’t help but feel that if a pro-abortion activist were punched on camera, the circumstances might be treated differently—maybe that’s just a hunch. Nonetheless, the same cannot be said for pro-life activist Savannah Craven Antao.
Antao was conducting a man-on-the-street style interview when a woman approached and requested to be interviewed. No one forced her—after all, free will exists. The most remarkable aspect is that she also had the option to walk away at any point. Rather than do that, as most rational adults would when feeling overwhelmed or frustrated, she allegedly chose to assault Antao, an action that can never be justified.

Are you surprised that someone who supports ending unborn lives would have no qualms about allegedly assaulting those they disagree with? I am not. What is truly disturbing, however, is that the NYC justice system has decided there is no need to prosecute this woman.
These prosecutors do realize that holding people accountable for their actions is the most effective way to prevent others from committing the same crimes, right?
Nonetheless, the charge against Brianna Rivers was first reduced to a misdemeanor and was eventually dropped entirely. It’s also unclear whether this has anything to do with her holding a political opinion the prosecution disagrees with, but you can draw your own conclusions.
That being said, if I didn’t know any better, I might be tempted to say there is a two-tier justice system in NYC—but I do know better, so I won’t.
