Bloomberg writer blasting "Sound of Freedom" has past... questionable tweets about children
Corporate journalismers are still on the warpath, creating content attacking "The Sound of Freedom." It's about child sex trafficking and is based on a true story. Because a lot of conservatives are happy such an important movie is kicking Hollywood's ass, the media has to hate it and be mortified at how much money it's making. The latest example is this review from Bloomberg, but there's a twist.
Journalismer Noah Berlatsy had this to say: "Many critics have linked Sound of Freedom to the pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy cult. They've also been startled by its mainstream success. But the truth is that the conspiratorial right and the Hollywood default aren't that different — which is why, perhaps, our polity has had such difficulty rejecting QAnon, Trump and fascism."
Independent reporter Andy Ngo and YouTuber Shoe found some interesting things from Berlatsky's background that may or may not give insight into WHY he doesn't like such a movie as "The Sound of Freedom." It starts with Berlatsky being the spokesperson for a M.A.P. advocacy group. M is for "Minor." A is for "Attracted." and P is for... you get the jist.
"Pedophiles are essentially a stigmatized group. Certain people get designated as deviants, people hate them."
"Parents are tyrants, 'Parent is an oppressive class. There are things you can do to try and minimize the abuse that endemic to the parent/child relationship, but it's always there."
Noah hasn't responded to Andy or Shoe's reports. And I kinda don't think he has any plans to.
With a budget of $14.5 million, this film managed to tell a more poignant story than films with ten times its budget. It earned $10 million in presales alone and has an 85% critic and 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.6/10 on IMDb as of now.
“Sound of Freedom” has a genuine core of righteousness that most call-to-action films do not. This is a dramatic film, but it takes pains to show that real children need help now. And it does all this while giving us more of a heartfelt story than Hollywood has in years.
Yet the media is lining up to hate it. For whatever reason.
