Bill De Blasio Criticizes Amazon for Cancelling NYC Headquarters Plan

Corey Stallings
February 18, 2019

There's still a lot of talk going around about Amazon pulling out of their plan to build a new headquarters in New York City. Most of it coming from the chronically erroneous piehole of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Mayor Bill De Blasio is trying to get in on that action as well.

He thinks Amazon are a bunch of dickweeds for responding to the hostility by saying "peace out." Yeah, seriously.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is still upset that Amazon isn't coming to New York.

"This is an example of an abuse of corporate power," de Blasio told NBC's Chuck Todd." Amazon just took their ball and went home. And what they did was confirm people's worst fears about corporate America."

Critics — including many Democrats — lambasted the massive subsidies that New York offered to lure Amazon, including $1.525 billion in incentives that were contingent on the company creating 25,000 new jobs with an average salary of $150,000.

"They said they wanted a partnership, but the minute there were criticisms, they walked away," he added. "What does that say to working people that a company would leave them high and dry simply because some people raised criticisms?"

Yeah, in leftist fantasyland, it might be Amazon's fault for being run out of town. Here in the real world, Billy only has his fellow lefties to blame.

Many of Bill De Blasio's douchetastic lefty peers have been steadily lashing out at Amazon. All over them having the audacity to be a successful business. Their argument amounts to "Amazon has money that's theirs, and anyone who has money that isn't mine is bad. Ipso facto, Amazon = Evil.

Call them crazy, but Amazon's not going to set up shop in a place rife with hostility. If a group of screeching lefties are going out of their way to make them feel unwelcome, Amazon will take up their tents and head for greener pastures. I can't say I blame them.

Lefty states' anti-success policies are the reason why nobody wants to do business with them. You can't really spit in somebody's face and expect them to smile and take it. So, Amazon is showing their disapproval with their feet. Don't be surprised when others start to follow.

Speaking of anti-success policies:
