Here's a tasty little clip to bring the chuckles. Bernie Sanders goes on MSDNC MSNBC to talk about his presidential campaign. Chris Hayes decides to ask him why socialism is crashing and burning in Venezuela. In typical leftist fashion, "The Bern" deflects.

Hayes: Let me return to the Venezuela case, because it has been so used by conservatives in the US on exactly this. You've been critical of the Maduro regime. I think also critical of some of the steps taken by the Trump administration, sort of ratcheting up pressure. What is the Bernie Sanders theory of the case for why Venezuela is the way it is? What went wrong there in what was an avowedly socialist project.

Bernie: Uh, well, I mean that's a long story that we can't, I don't think we have the time to get into.

"We don't have the time?"

That's about as lame an excuse anyone can come up with. In reality, Bernie just doesn't want to admit socialism is a giant cesspool of suckage. After a socialist deflects, they'll usually trot out the usual excuses. "That wasn't real socialism. It'll work next time. I promise." Sure...

I'll tell you why socialism fails in a single paragraph. When you hand the reins over to the government, things might start out fine. Eventually, bad peeps seize power and the whole thing goes to hell. Then, out come the machine guns and bread lines. This is inevitable when you drop a log on individual rights and concentrate power at the top.

It's really quite simple. Socialism is synonymous with failure. Whenever some place tries it, it doesn't end well. Yet lefties insist on trying it over and over again. Morons.
