CNN acknowledges that the majority of Americans know Democrats will hurt their cost of living:

I don't anticipate a good election night for the right. If you don't have hope, you can't be disappointed. Know what I mean? However, hypothetically speaking, if Donald Trump and John Thune can get their sh*t together before then, we may be pleasantly surprised. While polls show voters don't like us, it shows they hate the Democrat Party too. So it'll come down to who they hate more on Election Day.
For example, Americans are concerned about the cost of living. That gets laid at the feet of the party in power, which am us. Affordability is not a hoax. Here's the thing: when voters distrust one party when it comes to helping them, they tend to trust the other party by default. Not in 2026, and not these Democrats.
“The impact of Democratic policies on your cost of living...hurt or wouldn’t change it, the clear majority, nearly 3 in 5, 59%.”
Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) expected a blue wave in 2018. Instead, they got a blue ripple. Trump even gained seats in the Senate. And that's with the Democrat Party having a net-positive favorability rating. That is not the case with the Zohranified Democrat Party you see before you today.
“In 2026…we’re talking 24 points underwater…One reason why the Democratic brand is so terrible…the clear majority of Americans believe…that the Democratic Party is too liberal. 57%…This is a massive, massive problem.”
CNN lays out how poorly Americans view Democrats:

Wherever did Americans get the idea that the Democrat Party was too liberal?

A lot needs to happen. They need to figure out Iran. Gas prices need to drop. The GOP needs to stop fighting amongst ourselves. That means Trump needs to act like a grown-up, the White House needs to stop sucking so hard at communication, and John Thune needs to stop being a p-p-pussy.
The Democrats, by sucking so hard, are handing us an election we were never expected to win. Lock the f*ck in.
