Well, well, well. Turns out that whole "shelter in place" directive might have been complete crap. Check out this report from CBS News out of New York. It's terrible, but yet so delicious.

Most new Covid-19 hospitalizations in New York state are from people who were staying home and not venturing much outside, a "shocking" finding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.

The preliminary data was from 100 New York hospitals involving about 1,000 patients, Cuomo said at his daily briefing.

It shows that 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home. The next highest source of admissions was from nursing homes, 18%.

Were they venturing out and violating the stay-at-home order, you ask? Were they flocking to beaches, you wonder? Were they having illegal block parties on their roof tops, you inquire? Well no, actually. No, these people in the hospitals with COVID now were, in large, literally staying at home. You know. To "Stay stafe, stay home."

"This is a surprise: Overwhelmingly, the people were at home," he added. "We thought maybe they were taking public transportation, and we've taken special precautions on public transportation, but actually no, because these people were literally at home."

I'm wondering how many times one can say "I was right" while flipping her hair without risking a neck injury. I wonder if there are any reports about that. Consider this graphic:

Here's the key takeaway: COVID-19 is a dud of a virus. It acts much like influenza. People who occupy government positions, however, have used the virus to greatly overreach and push through their socialist wet dreams. Plenty of the American people have gone along with it, and have ratted out their fellow Americans who aren't. Meanwhile, many of those government directives, like "stay safe, stay home" are backfiring.

The real question is, will this wake people up, or will those who've been dutifully following the decrees of their political leaders just burrow in deeper, as they have done so far. Time will tell.
