Democrats still have the government shutdown because they want to force Republicans into voting for ObamaCare subsidies. Yes, the same ObamaCare that a) Republicans said was going to ruin healthcare, b) Republicans were called racist for saying was going to ruin healthcare, and c) has in fact ruined healthcare when everything Republicans said was going to happen happened. So, I'm sure it is no surprise to anyone to hear that Never Trump sellout Adam Kinzinger, a former Illinois Congressman who was gerrymandered out of a job by his new friends, would be singing the Democrat Party's talking points.

Here's the tl:dr on ObamaCare:

1. It passed during the Obama Administration without anyone voting for it when Nancy Pelosi "deemed it passed" using an arcane congressional trick.
2. It centered around temporary subsidies that wound up making all insurance more expensive, which is what happens when the government gets involved.
3. Democrats voted to renew the temporary subsidies in Biden's Inflation Reduction Act that were never meant to reduce inflation.

Kinzinger, who makes his living as the "Republican" who tells the media whatever anti-Repuiblican thing they want to hear that week, went along with the Democrat talking point about the shutdown.

Here's the rub. When I said that everything Republicans said was going to happen if and when Democrats forced Obamacare on Americans has happened? Adam Kinzinger was one of those Republicans.

He could point out that, when he was a Republican in Congress, he tried to highlight how ObamaCare would make everything more expensive, and that is why we're where we are right now.

But he doesn't get paid for intellectual honesty. He gets paid to bash Republicans when pointed to, and to occasionally cry on camera.

It's similar to the Never Trumpers who decide they are no longer Republicans... after the Supreme Court ruled against Roe v. Wade, because that was NEVER what the Republican party believed before Donald Trump came along. Never ever ever.
