Watch: Violent left-wing activist gets arrested for assaulting government official over bill that protects children
Earlier this week, Oklahoma passed a bill that bans gender transition procedures from being administered to minors. The bill prohibits healthcare professionals from providing or attempting to provide a referral for puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender reassignment surgeries for minors. It also prohibits insurance coverage for gender transition services performed within Oklahoma on any minor or adult.
Author of the bill, Rep. Kevin West, explained, "This legislation is about protecting our children from those who would seek to profit from their gender confusion. As a state, we must not be partner to irreversible health practices that permanently change the bodies of our children before they are of an age where they can fully understand the consequences of their decisions."
I don't have to tell you how great this is. Any action that limits the surgical mutilation of children is a win in my book. The trans community, however, unsurprisingly had a different take.
On Tuesday, a trans activist was arrested after allegedly throwing liquid on a state representative. Video shows the activist getting tackled by police as their husband (?) yells, "I want to go home with my husband!" before simply screaming, "HELP!" over and over again.
The activist's partner then accused the police of "actively suppressing" them. No sir, (ma'am? I don't know anymore) you just can't assault state officials. Trans or no-trans.
Despite GoFundMe's policy against fundraising for violent suspects, it appears they've made an exception for this beautiful and brave individual.
“.@gofundme is one of the top fundraising platforms for those wanting to raise money to support suspects (& convicts) accused of far-left political violence. GFM says it does not allow fundraising for violent suspects, but doesn't really enforce its TOS if the cause is left-wing.”— Andy Ngô 🏳️‍🌈 (@Andy Ngô 🏳️‍🌈) 1677689185
Freedom Oklahoma, an LGBT advocacy organization, responded to the arrest with a statement: "It's absurd to demand that marginalized people being attacked also respond within rules of decorum that were never meant to welcome us. We're in contact with the person arrested and have ensured they have access to bail support."
This sounds a whole lot like the same argument used to justify burning down entire cities a few summers ago. Let's hope 2024 doesn't bring the summer of love 2.0.
