If you're a socialist running statewide in a swing state Trump won twice, the idea behind going on Fox News is to appeal to voters and con them into not thinking you're a socialist running statewide. Michigan Senate candidate Abdul el-Sayed decided instead to create fan fiction for subreddits and BlueSky, giving an interview with Jesse Waters in which he defended genital mutilation of minors by comparing it to getting circumcised.

The interview was a train wreck in general. Newsbusters' Jorge Bonilla, the Ayatollah of Espanola (and owner of CNN's Donie O'Sullivan), has a full write-up. AES blaming ICE for why there are so many illegals invading America was a curious choice.

But the clip going viral is the genital mutilation one. Which, in a related note, AES also defends Sharia Law.

In another related note, I had a Literature of Africa professor tell me my views of female circumcision (I'm opposed) were "culturally biased." It was the 90's, so this would have been Woke 0.1.

Watters asked about el-Sayed's plans to socialize the entire healthcare industry and put the government in charge of your health (what the streets call "Medicare for All"). Does that include the government paying for minors to get sex change operations? Hell yes it does!

El-Sayed responded to Watters by asking if he's ever been circumcised, because that's totally the same thing.

He could have gone with the non-answer answer and asked why we're even talking about this non-issue no one cares about. Instead, he defended having an indefensible opinion with a ridiculous comparison that even democrats who support mutilating their kids' genitals say, "That's not it, my man."

In fairness, el-Sayed did attempt the "it should be a decision made by parents and doctors" talking point, but that's also horsesh*t because democrats support taking your kids away from you if you tell them, "No, you can't have a sex change operation."

RCP currently ranks the Michigan Senate Race within the margin of error, with AES having a 0.7 advantage over Republican candidate Rep. Mike Rodgers.
