A woman was violently attacked on the New York City Subway. The reason she did not press charges was that she thought the morally superior thing was to prevent another Black man from going to jail, even though he painfully deserved it. Subsequently, he went on to kill an innocent elderly man, solely because this woman believed what progressives told her.

According to the Daily Mail:

A young woman in New York City said she declined pressing charges against a violent suspect because she didn't want to put 'another black man in jail,' weeks before he allegedly killed a 76-year-old retired teacher.

The 23-year-old woman anonymously detailed how she and a friend narrowly escaped Rhamell Burke, 32, after he allegedly attacked them while riding the subway on April 2.

The straphanger told the New York Post she now completely regrets her decision not to work with prosecutors after Burke was charged with murder on Friday for allegedly shoving 76-year-old Ross Falzone down a flight of stairs to his death at a subway station Thursday night.

This is more evidence you didn't need to prove just how immoral and foolish progressive ideology is. In this pathetic pursuit, two victims decided skin color overrode the fact that someone was a psycho. And despite being stalked, punched, and kicked by some violent stranger, they felt his race still made him a victim, even though he terrorized them for no reason. This is exactly what progressive ideology does to people, and it has dangerous outcomes.

Because the left believes skin color makes someone a victim, actual victims like these women refused to hold him accountable. And because of that, an innocent man was randomly murdered, and it was 100% preventable.

In other words, progressive ideology creates more innocent victims through its social experiments by pretending to protect a certain group of people.

'Maybe a part of me was just like, I don't want to put another black man in jail, but, you know, at some point, if you are a criminal, you're a criminal, and he was scary, he was a scary guy,' the unidentified woman told the outlet.

To call this pathetic would be an understatement.

While it is not her fault the man did what he did, some may argue it was her civic duty to inform authorities of a random, dangerous man on the loose. She did not do that because progressives told her that too many Black people are in jail. The fact that he committed these violent acts and she still wanted to protect him tells you all you need to know. And while the left would like it if you believed silence is violence, this is one of those examples where it truly led to violence. And this is precisely why progressive ideology has no place in a civil society.
