Chicago is too crime-ridden and violent for Walgreens to operate, this Democrat official wants to charge THEM with a crime

Democrat Chicago Alderman William Hall stated that the local Walgreens should be criminally charged for closing their store in his district.
Later on in the speech he admits the reasons Walgreens stated for closing, i.e. crime/theft/safety, are valid and that his voters steal… pic.twitter.com/4iPJKtyFE7

That Democrat run cities are violent and crime-ridden is nothing new. It's been that way for the decades Democrats have had unbridled control over those cities. It's what their policies do. So, when businesses have had enough because the crime and the violence have made it impossible to do business safely, it would seem reasonable to tackle the crime and violence once and for all.
Instead, progressive DAs and lawmakers decided that stealing anything under $1000 would be fine. And when that wasn't enough, they started threatening the businesses that, despite the city being unsafe and crime being out of control, they will be FORCED to stay open or else.
The latest example is Chicago Alderman William Hall, threatening Walgreens that something very bad will happen if they go through with the decision to close the location. The decision to close the location came in the wake of high levels of theft and violent incidents, making it hard for the company to maintain a secure environment. through with plans to leave the city.
According to Walgreens, the decision to close the location came "in the wake of high levels of theft and violent incidents" that made it "hard for the company to maintain a secure environment."
Hall, while admitting that people steal, but whatever, says Walgreens won't be allowed to close if he has anything to say about it.
Walgreens should be charged with first-degree corporate abandonment.
That's not a thing.
It should be a crime the way they’re treating our elders. It should be a crime the way they’re treating our families.
It should be a crime the way criminals are treating your elders and your families. Actually, it is a crime. The problem is that the city's leader doesn't do anything about it, including enforcing the law. If they did that, Walgreens wouldn't have to close. Instead, Chicago is going to make up laws out of thin air to enforce because it's always someone else's fault.
"But Brodigan, Chicago is a Marxist cesspool. I live out in real America and don't care."
The difference between the democrats in Chicago and the democrats where you live is that the democrats where you live haven't had the opportunity yet. Look at all the leftists nationally who now want to tax people for leaving blue states after being taxed out of those states to begin with.
It's easy to point and laugh at Chicago. If you don't have to live there, it's hilarious. Don't thinl Chicago or LA or NYC can't happen where you live too.
