Medicare for all is back to being all the rage (see Actual Insurers Smack Down Idiot Bernie’s “Medicare for All” and Bernie Sanders on Single-Payer Transition: ‘There Will Be Pain’). If we want to get a more Canadian system of healthcare, American doctors need to take a sizable pay cut. According to this Vox writer, those doctors are just going to have to manage. Suck it up, buttercups.

At least Voxy McVoxface acknowledges slicing doctor's pay would be a difficult political move. What with telling doctors who've toiled through medical school, then have to deal with noncompliant patients who think Googling their illness is just as valid as a consult, "Yeah, the salary you earned after spending some ten years in school? Lol, just kidding. We're gonna take somma dat." Do you want to see your primary care physician after he or she has 33% of their salary just TAKEN by government? Just saying, but I don't want to see an orthopedic surgeon after he just got his salary cut by MORE THAN HALF. Especially if I'm counting on that doctor to fix my leg. Take my money, fix my leg!

Bear in mind, these same people who want to cut doctor salaries are the same people who think second grade teachers should make more money. The doctor performing a heart transplant=overpaid. The teacher who instructs your seven-year-old that Heather can have two mommies=not paid enough.

Let that sink in.

For the record, government doesn't get to decide who is making too much money. Nor does some Vox writer the producers of Lord of the Rings found too creepy.
