"F*ck being fat": You'll love this viral body-shamer's message when you see what UCLA is up to

With this one, we've got a little bit of everything: equity, "the science," a medical school sacrificing health and medicine on the altar of wokeness, and a cute blonde bodyshaming fatties.
The girl came across my X-Twitter feed the same way most viral videos do. She says something culture war'y that we're either going to agree or disagree with to the extreme. In her case, it's one we agree with harsh truth bombs. Life is better and easier when you aren't fat, and whether you like it or not. As someone who is in a "f*ck being fat" phase himself this year, I connected.
Then I saw this thread. UCLA Medical School -- read that again, MEDICAL SCHOOL -- is making students take a mandatory health "equity" class. They are taught that -- again, this is MEDICAL SCHOOL -- that weight loss is a "hopeless endeavor" and that "obesity" is a slur "used to exact violence on fat people."
All first year students are assigned an essay by Marquisele Mercedes, a self-described "fat liberationist," who "describes how weight came to be pathologized and medicalized in racialized terms" and offers guidance on "resisting entrenched fat oppression," per the syllabus.

The assignment shocked Jeffrey Flier, the former dean of Harvard Medical School and one of the world’s foremost experts on obesity, who said the curriculum "promotes extensive and dangerous misinformation."

This is where we are. Centuries of studies and biology about all the ways being fat is UNHEALTHY can lead to HEALTH problems, and schools are teaching kids who want to go into the medical profession that equity doesn't care about your facts. This is the future of health care in America.
Is it fair that life is easier for skinny people? No. But suck it up anyway buttercup, as this lady says.

This is where we are in America in this, the two-thousandth and twenty-forth year of our ... you know, the thing. Random girls on X-Twitter making more sense than UCLA Medical School.
