Donald Trump takes victory lap over "tremendous" SOCTUS ruling protecting kids from woke school indoctrination

In what was pretty obvious to those who actually understand this little thing called the Constitution, SCOTUS has ruled that parents have the right to excuse their children from school lessons that may conflict with their religious beliefs. And yes, this includes anything related to the rainbow mob.
Trump praised this decision, calling it a βTremendous Victory for Parents.β
.@POTUS: "I think the ruling was a great ruling, and I think it's a great ruling for parents... they lost control of the schools. They lost control of their child, and this is a tremendous victory for parents." https://t.co/Pla2qrLE36 pic.twitter.com/jqySSHA8QM

The Supreme Court held Friday that a group of Maryland parents are entitled to opt their children out of school lessons that could violate their beliefs in a case centered on religious freedom.
Did we really need a court ruling to figure this out? It shouldβve been obvious to the so-called educators, but clearly, theyβve just been schooled.
The justices decided 6-3 along ideological lines in Mahmoud v. Taylor that parents can exclude their children from a Maryland public school system's lessons that contain themes about homosexuality and transgenderism if they feel the material conflicts with their religious faith.
The school argued that this didnβt violate First Amendment rights because parents supposedly consented to the material when they enrolled their kids in public schools. But since some of those who criticize schools might actually support the losing side in this case, their excuse feels even weaker.
"A government burdens the religious exercise of parents when it requires them to submit their children to instruction that poses βa very real threat of underminingβ the religious beliefs and practices that the parents wish to instill," Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the majority. "And a government cannot condition the benefit of free public education on parentsβ acceptance of such instruction."
The case aroses from Montgomery County Public Schools incorporating books into their preschool through 12th grade language arts curriculum a few years ago that featured "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer characters," the school districtβs attorneys told the Supreme Court.
Are Montgomery County Public Schools doing so exceptionally that this should be the focus rather than math and English?
The attorneys said the school district did this as part of an effort to be "culturally responsive" and teach lessons that encourage "equity, respect, and civility."
Someone should definitely remind the district that teaching kids to respect all students doesnβt have to conflict with their religious beliefs. In other words, you can respect everyone, even if you donβt agree with the ideas or pronouns they use.
As Trump said, parents βlost control of their child, and this is a tremendous victory for parents.β Like the President, Iβm βnot surprisedβ by the ruling, but Iβm shocked it had to reach the highest court before schools were held accountable. Still, it was necessaryβeven if it shouldnβt have been in the first place. While the left may oppose parental rights, the sooner they accept that they donβt have the right to raise this nationβs children, the better off weβll all be.
