According to President Donald Trump, the United States will “kill” those who bring drugs into this country. This should not be controversial, as the amount of harm these "narcoterrorists" have caused to the U.S. and Americans can never be fully comprehended. Nonetheless, when you mess with the lives of Americans, Trump has made it clear he won’t take that lightly.
Speaking with reporters, Trump said that while he may inform Congress of plans, he stopped short of confirming he would get permission from them because “What are they going to say, 'Gee, we don't want to stop drugs pouring in?'"
According to NBC:
Asked later whether he’d be seeking a declaration of war against drug cartels that he has already designated as foreign terrorist organizations, Trump said he didn’t see a need to at this point.
“I don’t think we’re necessarily going to ask for a declaration of war. I think we’re just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. We’re going to kill them. They’re going to be, like, dead,” Trump said.
Trump has made it clear time and again how much he despises war. And why would he even need it? He’s only interested in going after cartel members, who are often accused of crimes so evil that it's impossible to comprehend how these “people” can even be classified as human.
Trump said the pivot to targeting people on land was necessary because the strikes on the alleged drug boats have resulted in more drugs’ being transported by land.
“Now they’re coming in by land. Even the land is concerned,” Trump said, without specifying where the land strikes could take place.
I don't really see any other way around this. Cartel members should be scared to bring drugs into this country, not carefree.
According to Fox News, “A senior Sinaloa Cartel leader, speaking anonymously, told CNN senior national correspondent David Culver that President Donald Trump’s efforts have indeed made business more difficult for their organization.” And again, anyone who has a problem with this is objectively stupid. Any organization hoping to profit off harming Americans should be treated like the scum they are, and the fact that some on the left would like you to believe this is bad is foolish.
This is the only point worth considering: Are thousands of Americans' lives saved each time a boat with several cartel members is destroyed? If the answer is yes, that tells you all you need to know.
