Is it time to make insane asylums great again? Trump sure thinks so!
The last time you traveled to a Liberal city, or if you live in one, you likely know the lunatics are running the asylum. Not only are the people leading the city insane, but cities all across the nation have allowed a zombie apocalypse to occur. Many homeless people are mentally unwell and need institutional help. They are not “unhoused” because of a lack of housing; they are without housing because of their mental state, which includes drug addiction for many of them as well. The left, who prides themselves on compassion, has decided the morally superior thing to do is allow them to live on the street, despite that not being good for them or society. Trump believes this needs to change, and it’s about time someone in office has acknowledged the problem.
The Community Mental Health Centers Act of 1963 shifted mental health care from large hospitals to community-based centers, which led to mass deinstitutionalization. While we can be certain that there were many problems with the former system, there are also many problems with the status quo. When you combine this with the fact that liberal areas have also decided that cash bail is racist, you get conditions that even the third world does not experience.
This is what has become in many places in this country, and it’s deranged how the left allows them to live like that, as if they are unworthy of help.
We’re out in Skid Row tonight as Los Angeles carries out their annual homeless count.

What’s even worse is that reports indicate that children are also living out on the streets, with some estimates indicating hundreds of kids live on Skid Row.
The City of Los Angeles under Mayor Karen Bass opened what's called the Skid Row Community Refreshed Spot

Did you need any more proof as to why we need to make institutionalized care great again? Because I don't think you do. In the progressive pursuit of housing the unhoused, the situation has only worsened exponentially. It's strange how it always seems that the more money the left spends on something, the worse it gets. Why do you think that is?
