This High School Banned Limos at the Prom. Because Equality?
Prom is a tradition. You get yourself all fancied up. Rent a limo with your friends. Sneak in some of your dad's hooch. And party all night. Possibly with some bad decisions thrown in. It can be a little costly, but you're celebrating your last blowout before adulthood. Plus it's your parent's money. Flaunt it if you -- or they -- got it. Just not if you go to this New Jersey high school. They're banning all limos and luxury cars. I'm sure you can guess why.
The decision was made "based on the concern over the safety of all our students and in providing equity for all students so that they all could enjoy a shared 'prom experience' despite socio-economic status, and based on the success that other districts have demonstrated utilizing this practice," Beattie said."The district wants to ensure that all students have the equal opportunity to share in a positive, safe and memorable school prom experience."
The rule was met with howls of complaints from students and parents...
I'm curious. This is New Jersey. I wonder how many of those howls came from people who vote for leftists that support similar policies (see WOKE AF: These NYC Millennials Prefer Venezuela ‘Income Equality’ Over American Freedom and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Demanding a 70% Tax Hike [VIDEO]). Sure, at the end of the day it's just a prom. But it's the same belief that governs most leftist policies. It's not fair for people who have less. So penalize people who have more.
That's the real definition of what leftists want for equality. Never forget it.
Learn this valuable lesson, kids. Conservatives want you to spend as much money as you want. Rent the biggest limo you can afford. If your peer can't afford it, that's his, her or ze's problem.
