Seattle Police Chief Under Fire For Visiting Texas For DEI Conference During Shooting
Watch Louder with Crowder every weekday at 11:00 AM Eastern, only on Rumble Premium!
Out of the top 1 million things Seattle needs, the police chief attending the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference in Texas is certainly not one. This is why Seattle police chief Shon Barnes has been under fire after he did just that during the weekend's deadly mass shooting.
Because Barnes does not have a “crystal ball” and he cannot “schedule gun violence,” he believes that is justification for the chief of police to attend a “DEI” conference in another state, despite his admitting “being a leader” means being present.
NEW: Seattle police chief Shon Barnes is asked about how much time he spends in Chicago after he was out of town during the Seattle mass shooting because he was at a 'DEI' conference.@choeshow: "How often do you travel to Chicago? Your wife & kids still live there..."

Wow. He truly said so much, yet nothing of substance was conveyed. It is astonishing.
Barnes was in Dallas attending the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives' annual conference on Sunday when gunfire erupted at the Bite of Seattle annual food festival.
At a Tuesday press conference, he defended his trip and insisted other reports that he frequently travels out of Seattle on weekends weren't accurate.
His remarks come as a 15-year-old gunman remains in custody in what was believed to be a gang fight with a 19-year-old who was killed in the gun battle.
Here is the chief having a fiery exchange with a reporter.
NEW: Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes did not like being called out for not being in Seattle during major incidents like last night's shooting at the Space Needle

For someone who believes he did nothing wrong, he sure sounds pretty offensive. Weird.
While it is true that it is not possible to predict these things, it is also true that the city is an incompetent leftist cesspool that does nothing to uphold public safety. This is why it is not surprising that the chief was out of town for unnecessary travel during a mass shooting. Instead of taking accountability, he wants everyone to think there is no accountability he needs to take in any of this. To call this pathetic would be an understatement.
