What Collapse? Job Growth SMASHES Predicted 190K Jobs in February. The Numbers...
In case you haven't noticed, the Trump admin has been sweating productiveness these first few months. Those beads of sweat should not be confused with liberal tears. Of which they has also been a monsoon. With a few notable exceptions, most of the new executive orders and changes have been well received by those in the financial markets (see Sorry Leftists! Dow Jones Hits HUGE All Time High After Trump Speech...). But there's also been other surprising positive results, like huge job growth in the private sector. Apparently, the numbers are way bigger than originally expected. Vehement anti-Trumpists are shaking in their Huggies.
Companies added jobs at a blistering pace in February, with a notable shift away from the service-sector positions that have dominated hiring for years, according to a report from Wednesday.
Employment in the private sector surged by 298,000 for the month, with goods producers adding 106,000, ADP and Moody's Analytics said. Construction jobs swelled by 66,000 and manufacturing added 32,000.
Job creation was fairly evenly distributed across business size. Companies with 50 to 499 employees added the most with 122,000, while small firms added 104,000 and large contributed 72,000.
In other words? It's not just huge corporations growing steadily right now. Small businesses are leading the way in terms of job growth; which is a great sign. It certainly seems they have reason to be confident...
The total shattered market expectations of 190,000, according to economists surveyed by ADP. The report encompassed the first full month under President Donald Trump. "Confidence is playing a large role," Mark Zandi, economist, told CNBC. "Businesses are anticipating a lot of good stuff - tax cuts, less regulation. They are hiring more aggressively."
Time will tell how Trump's policies affect business on a long term scale. But some might say having anyone besides Bernie Sanders for President is reason for small businesses to celebrate. Aaaand they'd be right. Bernie and his league of socialist basement-dwellers hate all things business (see Bernie Sanders Gets Schooled in Reality by Pro-Trump Small Business Owner and Crowder Goes NUCLEAR on Bernie for Attacking Business Owners).
It also appears many are relieved to no longer labor under an Obama presidency. Despite boasts of steady job growth, the Obama admin struggled to balance jobs and population growth. The data demonstrates the quantity of new jobs failed to keep pace with the number of new humans. Despite the left butchering so many in utero. In context, the "growth" under Obama wasn't really growth at all. Of course, many of LwC's regular readers already knew that (see Surprise! New Report Shows HUGE Majority of Jobs Obama 'Created'? Temporary Gigs... and Obama's Economy: Number of People Not Working Reaches Record High). No plot twists here.
So what do all these numbers mean? Context: Obama averaged 109,000 new jobs per month. Referring to facts mentioned above, economists noted we lost job growth under Barry. A quick look at Obama's policies removes all mystery as to why the job slump (see Maria Bartiromo Rips Into Obamacare Architect on Job Loss).
Contrast job-killing Obamacare and the left's obsession with regulations (which are only rivaled by a famous movie bunny-killer) and Trump's anti-regulation executive order (read WIN! Trump Cuts Regulations MAJORLY With Latest Executive Order)... It's no mystery why businesses have a new spring in their steps.
In case you forgot, Bernie Sanders is still the worst. We're referring to more than his whispy coif.
