JB Pritzker Blasts Trump Over Illegal Immigrants (Again) And, Of Course, Makes Another Nazi Comparison

JB Pritzker, once again comparing the Trump administration to Nazis, claims there are "fake ideas" that dangerous illegal immigrants are living in the United States.

According to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, the Nazis “accused people of being immigrants and then laws were passed to limit immigrants, and people who weren’t immigrants were called immigrants, and it was othering people, and that led to,” as he put it, “worse things.” Now, the only problem with this correlation is — if this were true, why is it not true? Because I just checked every history textbook ever created in the history of the world, and I can’t find the part where national immigration laws set the stage for the Holocaust — but that is neither here nor there.
I think the worst part is not that he tries to correlate American federal immigration laws with a genocide — it’s that he points the finger and blames the other side for “othering” when he’s doing just that. And not only was his explanation of history a bit of a stretch, but he lacked so much self-awareness that no one knew it was possible.
There is no “fake idea of an enemy” — it’s simply the case that millions of people have broken federal immigration laws, and now the federal government is deporting those who have committed crimes post facto. Why this is controversial is beyond reason, but it’s likely because it’s not controversial, and people like him are gaslighting Americans to convince them that a secure border is somehow evil and akin to Nazism.
The government is not rounding up people they don’t like — that’s not a thing and would certainly be unlawful. They are deporting those who have, once again, broken our immigration laws — especially those who have committed crimes in this country, which means that American citizens have become victims of crimes that should never have happened. The fact that the left tries to pretend this has anything to do with the Nazis is truly incomprehensible.
