This probably wasn't a misspeak so much as it was a mind change. One thing I'd like to see in politics, which we may never see from everyone in office, is a tad more honesty. We know the Democrats don't like Trump. Fine. People are free to like and dislike whatever for any and all reasons, I don't care. But just admit it. Democrats should fess up and say "Trump is a tool and we're afraid the American people will elect him again because our smears aren't working, he's just not as disastrous as we predicted, plus he's wildly entertaining. Meanwhile Joe Biden can't keep his teeth in his own mouth, and Beto won't shut his. So we've got to eliminate Trump outright."
