A Pennsylvania State Trooper alleges he was terminated because of his race after being dismissed following a contentious traffic stop involving a Black Philadelphia official.
Does anyone know why people constantly believe that working for an elected official somehow gives them the right to act like toddlers throwing tantrums? Clearly, the thinking of these two was not what you would call “rational.”
According to the Daily Mail:
Andrew Zaborowski, 32, filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against the State Police on Tuesday, arguing he was fired due to the color of his skin.
Zaborowski arrested the former executive director of Philadelphia's Office of LGBT Affairs, Celena Morrison, and her transgender husband, Darius McLean, on March 2, 2024.
State police previously said Morrison was driving with an expired and suspended registration, with illegally tinted windows, and without illuminated headlights while it was raining, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Don’t you just love how these arrest videos always show people claiming they did nothing wrong… when you can very clearly see they did? Lol.
McLean, seen lying on the side of the highway while the cop handcuffs him, calls out to his distressed wife before shouting, 'It's because I'm black.'
By the looks of it, these two may or may not have resisted arrest, and one of them may or may not have committed obstruction—but I’m no legal expert, so you do the math.
Two months later, Zaborowski claimed that he was fired from the state police 'without any hearing or notice', according to the court documents.
I’m not here to tell you whether this man was fired because of the color of his skin—that’s for you to decide. But let’s just say it would be extremely unsurprising if everything the fired officer claims in the lawsuit were true. Again, I’m no legal expert. Still, it seems justice was most definitely not served in this case—especially since the person simply trying to uphold the law ended up in trouble, while two individuals acted like children. And calling that a slap in the face to the rule of law doesn’t even begin to explain it.
