Did you need any more proof that New York City’s elections are an absolute joke? No, you don't, but here is NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani proving just how pathetic the city's elections are.
If you thought you needed an ID to vote in the city’s election, you would be wrong. According to the mayor, you don't need to bring one thing. You will, however, get a pen if you are lucky.
Mamdani: "You do not need to bring [ID] to vote" (2 seconds later) "our elections are secure" https://t.co/2rIZ6zJfcd

He claims the elections are safe and secure. Unclear why anyone would think it is dangerous to vote in America, but I digress. The fact that he claims it is secure to vote while, in the same breath, also confirming you do not need to prove you are who you say you are, says it all.
"Here is what every New Yorker needs to know: Voting is easy and safe. In New York City, you don't need to bring anything with you to cast your vote at the polls. We will even give you a pen. Our city's elections are secure.”
Here are the rules from BallotPedia:
New York does not require voters to present identification while voting, in most cases.
The federal Help America Vote Act requires that individuals in all 50 states who register to vote by mail and who have not voted previously in a federal election in their state must provide either their driver's license or a paycheck, bank statement, current utility bill, or government document showing their name and address. Individuals voting by mail must include a copy of one of those documents with their absentee/mail-in ballot.
Again, this tells you all you need to know. To call this secure is nothing more than a communist joke used to mock those who care about national security. And claiming this is a threat to Democracy would be an understatement.
