Zohran Mamdani: “Two of the things I thought often about were safety and justice… learning about Michael Brown. Then in 2020… it was the year in which George Floyd was killed and it felt like safety and justice had never been further apart... How do we deliver that justice?…… pic.twitter.com/LQLc3KC2Xv

It’s pretty clear that New Yorkers will be worse off if Zohran Mamdani is elected, but in case you were unsure of his stance on public safety, it’s incredibly lacking.
According to Mamdani, after the deaths of George Floyd and Michael Brown, he realized that justice and safety could not be farther apart. Now, I’m not here to tell you anything about George Floyd’s death—most people reading this already know more than Mamdani clearly does. And I’m also not here to talk about Brown, because you already know all you need to know. What is unclear, however, is whether Mamdani actually knows and is just lying to push his progressive utopia—but you do the math. At this point, all we can do is keep New Yorkers in our prayers.
According to Mamdani, delivering justice means representing “the Black and Brown New Yorkers who have been victims of police brutality.” It’s unclear whether he believes prosecuting crime is less important than prosecuting the police—but again, you can do the math. Unsurprisingly, he also claims, “It means representing the Muslim New Yorkers,” whatever that even means…
According to Martha MacCallum, “68% of New Yorkers want more police officers on the street.” However, Mamdani clearly doesn’t care what nearly 70 percent of people want, as his intent is not to represent the majority. It’s once again to usher in whatever dictatorial utopia he envisions. This is why he wants to “keep the number of officers that we have.” But when authority figures openly despise the police—as he clearly does—you end up with fewer officers. Funny how that works. So we can almost be certain the department will not be staffed as it is today.
Time and again, this man has made it clear who he intends to represent. And it certainly isn’t New Yorkers. But what else is new?
