As we close 2019, one great mystery left unanswered is who really killed Jeffrey Epstein. Also up there, at least in the top 5, is how the deuce Joe Biden is still the Democrat frontrunner, what with him making more gaffes and admissions of creep than Bill Clinton has alleged rape victims (see Joe Biden Says ‘We Choose Truth Over Facts!’ and the Crowd Goes Wild and WATCH: Joe Biden Gets Gropey with Another Little Girl). Because even by crazy pants climate zealot Democrat standards, admitting he'd be totes cool with sacrificing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF JOBS is honestly, I'm almost snarkless. Which is to say, I'm so baffled by the Democrats continued support of such a dingus, I am without snark.

MODERATOR: Would you be willing to sacrifice [economic growth in the energy sector] knowing potentially that it could displace maybe hundreds of thousands of blue-collar workers in the interest of a greener economy?

JOE: The answer is yes.

He added that “the opportunity for those workers to transition to high-paying jobs is real." But you and I both know that's what the kids would call a bunch of malarky. Among other reasons, the people who want to remake the economy in Marx's image also want to "OK boomer" those workers out of the workplace. If not, out of existence altogether. But that's something for geeks and wonks to fight over.

Am I the only one who thinks Biden doesn't really want to do this "running for preezy of the united steezy" stint anymore? Because no one who is serious about winning anything says, "Yeah, I'm all about killing those jobs!" He has to know he's not going to survive (metaphorically) an election against Donald Trump. It's like he's waiting to drop in the polls so that he has an excuse to drop out. You know, "out of the good of the party." But the party is not cooperating. Every time he gets gropey, he goes up in the polls. Every time he forgets how words work, he goes up in the polls. Every time a report in Iowa or New Hampshire catches him yelling at the clouds and shaking his first, he goes up three points in the polls.

It's been remarkable to watch. I guess the Democrats really are that horrible, we just have to shrug and laugh. Whoever the Democrats ordain, good luck going up against the Trump.
